Vigilante Group Rescues Kidnapped Victim in Edo

Egoro Na- Oka Community Vigilante group in Esan West local government area of Edo State on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 rescued a kidnapped victim who was abducted by suspected Fulani herdsmen along Ekpoma-Urohi road few days ago.

Our source gathered that the kidnapped victim (name with-held), was kidnapped while traveling from Ekpoma to Urohi in Esan west local government area of Edo State.

The leader of the vigilante, Henry Anuge, said, “when the information got to me and my men, we mobilized into the forest between Egoro Na oka/Akahia/Urohi for search operation.

“We combed the bush all through the night and in the process we encountered the kidnappers who opened fire on us.

“After gun duel with the kidnappers one of them was arrested with injuries and handed over to the Police, while the victim was rescued,” he said.
