Delta State Head of Service Advocates Family Cohesion for National Development

The Head of Civil Service of Delta State, Mr Reginald Bayoko has appealed for family cohesion which he said Will engender the overall development of the nation.

Bayoko made this appeal at Uokha, Saturday, 9th June at a ceremony marking the right of passage for Pa Joseph Ige Oikpo.

While extolling the virtues of late Pa Oikpo who was a retired staff of the defunct National Electric Power Authority, NEPA, Bayoko urged parents of young couples to instill the virtues of patience and tolerance in intending couples so as to be able to live a fulfilled life just as the late nonagenerian.

The right of passage of Pa Joseph Ige Oikpo was glamour laced in razz matazz as Godwin Akhaine, a renown accountant and socialite and Chief Edward Omere, a Director in the office of the Head of Service of Delta State were joined by professional colleagues, family members, friends and well wishers bid farewell to their father-in-law.

In his remarks, Godwin Akhaine who described his late father as a man of honour and integrity urged members of the deceased family to be united to be able to forge ahead appealing to make his virtues their guiding light.

While extolling the upright principles of Pa Oikpo, another son-in-law, Chief Edward Omere said he’s a father any man would desire and urged the children to emulate him.

Present at the well attended ceremony were the Deputy Registrar, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Mr Eddy Ehiakhamen, Prof.Ralph Adeghe of Igbinedion University, Okada, Mr Dominic Ibharalu, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC; Hon Wilson Okoduwa, a political aide to Senator Clifford Ordia and Chairman of Annunciation Catholic College, Irrua Old Boys Association amongst other dignitaries.
