Edo Police Parades Suspected Criminals (1)

Some of the Suspected Criminals Paraded by Edo State Police Command

The Edo State Police command Tuesday August 28, 2018, paraded three kidnap suspects for attempting to kidnap and kill one Prof. Joshua Aiseku.

The suspects, Adamu Aminu, ‘M’, 23, Tamuno Diepriye Prince Samuel, ‘M’, 19 and Ovie Raymond, 21, were alleged to have threatened to kill  Aiseku, an emeritus professor, through a text message if he failed to pay the sum of seven million, five hundred thousand Naira (N7, 500, 000,00) equivalent into a bank account in Turkey.

The Edo state Police Commissioner, CP Johnson Kokumo disclosed this while briefing news men on the activities of the command as eight suspects arrested for various crimes ranging from armed robbery, kidnapping, murder and cultism were paraded.

While deploring the unwholesome activities of God’s Home Orphanage, located along Siluko road in Benin City, CP Kokumo disclosed that the orphanage was allegedly involved in child trafficking as a four year old baby girl stolen in Lagos was found in the orphanage owned by one Kehinde Blessing Imariagbe under questionable circumstances.

Also paraded is an Ex- police Corporal Micheal Eriarebhe for alleged involvement in armed robbery. CP Kokumo disclosed that the said ex- police corporal had earlier been charged to court for defilement and dismissed from the police after orderly room trial.

“Ex- police Micheal Eriarebhe was dismissed from the Nigeria Police Force for offences against discipline and charged to court. There is pendency of a criminal charge against the ex- cpl in court. He is on court bail and like a leopard that can never change it’s spots, was arrested for another criminal activity. This is a vindication that the Police was right in the first place to have earlier dismissed him,” CP Kokumo said.

The command also paraded one Sunday Onaja for killing one Moses Ikiri whom he lured to take on his motorcycle to inspect his farm in Okada town.

While assuring Edo people of the determination of the command to rid the state of crime and criminality as the Ember months approach, CP Kokumo said, “the command reiterates once more the need for citizens to be vigilant at all times and to report any clandestine activity in their domain for prompt attention of the Police. We assure all Edo citizens of our worthy stewardship as we approach the Ember months”.
